1. About our service

MessageDot lets users connect their HubSpot account and use a Chrome extension on WhatsApp Web to find or create HubSpot contacts, manage deals, and log notes, tasks, calls and meetings.

2. Data we collect

Account and authentication data

  • Name, email address and the account details needed to connect your HubSpot account through OAuth.
  • HubSpot account (portal) and user IDs.

Customer and CRM data

  • Contact and deal information from your HubSpot account that is needed to show and update records (for example name, phone number, email, deal name, pipeline and stage).
  • Notes, tasks, calls and meetings you create through MessageDot.
  • The WhatsApp phone number or contact name of the chat you are working in, used to find the matching HubSpot contact.

Service usage data

  • Logs of API calls to and from HubSpot.
  • Device and browser information, for security and troubleshooting.

Billing and transaction data

  • Payment details, invoices and billing history when you subscribe. Card details are handled by our payment processor.

3. How we use your data

We process your data only for purposes that are necessary to provide and improve our service:

  • Connecting your HubSpot account and syncing the records you work with.
  • Creating and updating contacts, deals, notes, tasks, calls and meetings as you direct.
  • Providing customer support and technical assistance.
  • Monitoring service performance and preventing abuse.
  • Fulfilling legal obligations (for example tax reporting).

  • HubSpot, to read and write CRM data as you direct.

  • Account data: kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure, unless longer retention is required by law.
  • Logs and analytics: kept for 12 months for troubleshooting and security.

You have the right to access your personal data and receive a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
