User Data Deletion

We respect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. This page explains how you can request deletion of your personal data from our systems.

1. Right to erasure

Under the GDPR you may request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, you withdraw consent, you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds, the data was processed unlawfully, or deletion is required by law.

2. How to request data deletion

Send a request to privacy@messagedot.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Please include your full name and the email address associated with your account, a clear statement that you want your personal data deleted, and any information that helps us find your data (for example your HubSpot account ID).

3. Verification

For security reasons we may need to verify your identity before processing your request, for example by a confirmation email.

4. What happens after deletion

• Once verified, we delete the personal data stored in our systems within 30 days, unless a shorter period is required by law.
• CRM data synced from HubSpot is also deleted from our systems. Data that lives in HubSpot or WhatsApp stays there: you must request its deletion from those providers separately.
• Some data may be kept if required by law (for example billing records and fraud prevention).
